A warm echo between emotion and reason.
This is Her Jean’s first jazz album.
After a long time with the performing arts, in a Band-scene is the DJ music show “Her Jean.” As the album title “Between Big-band and Trio” says, the album is arranged into a jazz band version of his song, three songs and three jazz standard numbers are arranged into three versions.
Emotional versions of Big Band versions of the songs combined with the arrangement of the jazz artist “Kim Nam-kyun” in a fantasy blend with the “Seoul Jazz Big Band”.
“Happy Street” and “Maybe it’s the Wind” deployed on track No. 1 and No. 3 also create a new atmosphere as existing pop-oriented songs meet with big bands, which are impressive in their unique arrangements. In particular, Track 2 ‘Beautiful Life’ is in harmony with the soon-to-be-running Korean melody line, with the romantic melody played by the big band hovering in their ears from the beginning.
It was followed by three jazz standard number tracks, “What I Like,” “My Only Love” and “Take Five,” which were performed with veteran jazz scenes and “Ryu-Ingi-Trio,” led by jazz bassist Ryu-Ingi.
Created by pianist Park Ji-yong and drummer Cho Nam-hyuk, who returned from jazz studies in New York and Amsterdam, the sound is soft and warm, but has an experimental atmosphere as if a wandering stranger has found a cozy haven. The reason is that each song has a unique vocal line and interpretation, which makes it even more fun to appreciate.
In particular, ‘Take Five’ has been newly created with a unique interpretation of the song, which is called ‘Another Take Five.’ There are countless ‘Take Five’ reinterpreted by artists and bands, but you’ll be fascinated by the unique ‘Take Five’ that you’ve never heard of.
This album is expected to change the perception of jazz, which has not been considered a popular genre in the domestic music market where the music of the ‘Adult Contemporary’ line has not been properly formed.
Ah. This is your second blog. Itβs a nice song. A little short though.
