The general process is to use music to dig through the artist’s discography and love the artist and the music they left behind. However, some artists are curious about their unique performances and become music lovers. The case in Korea is probably true for many people who love “Kiha & The Faces”. The main character of the album is an American artist who is convinced that it has become a role model for “Kiha & The Faces”. Or, it would be better to say that it is the first band copied by “Kiha & The Faces” than to describe it as a role model. Of course I don’t think it’s a malicious copy. New Wave music maniacs in the 1980s wuld have the guts to copy performances maliciously that anyone could know about. The main character of the target is the group ‘Talking Heads’ led by David Byrne.

The nationality of the Talking Heads, which was formed in 1974, was a perfect match for the CBGB club of the time, such as the unpatriotic foreign character, stammering vocals, fluctuating rhythm, and the lyrics. But the shock didn’t last long, when David Byrne wanted a wider meeting with the public rather than being satisfied with the small world of the Punk Rock elite in New York. The album “Fear Of Music,” which was released in 1979, shows a darker side than its previous album. Then “Remain In Light” be released in 1980, and together with the album, Talking Heads command the music scene for the next decade. The album is now on the list, adding experimentation to the meticulous but unbeatable rhythm. Since then, their fame has grown day by day, and the live performance of the concert in 1984 remains a popular video clip. The music of the Talking Heads gives an instant thrill even now that has gone on for years. Unfortunately, the commercial artistic success they left behind will be remembered forever, even though it is the Talking Heads, which declared an official dissolution in 1991.
The album, which is now on the list, is Talking Heads fourth full-length album, produced by Ambient and experimental music master Brian Eno. In fact, the most famous of the Talking Heads songs will be “Psycho Killer” in their debut album, and it will be only when Jonathan Demi, the director of the film “The Silence of the Lambs,” records the talking heads performing, will be able to appreciate them. However, while discussing them, “Remain In Light” is an important album that can never be omitted because it is the first album in English and American music to show the potential for expansion of popular music through its contact with world music. Combining native African music and rock, the album successfully met both experimentality and public appeal. This fairly fresh attempt at the presentation has had a huge impact on art pop and world pop music and is still seen as the biggest impact of world music in music activities by Sting and Paul Simon, who are considered the greatest musicians in the world. The most loved song in the album is “Once In A Lifetime.” But if you’re new to talking heads, I don’t recommend you listen to them first. I hope you will find a video of the aforementioned ‘Stop Making Sense’. If you can’t see the movie from beginning to end, I recommend you at least watch “Psycho Killer,” “Life During Wartime” and “Once In A Lifetime” on video first, and then just listen to music entirely. Maybe there will be a new world in your music world.
